The ruling National Coalition Party is still Finland’s most popular party, according to Helsingin Sanomat’s March survey.
Support has declined slightly for the two main government parties the National Coalition Party and the Finns Party, accoridng to Helsingin Sanomat’s latest opinion poll.
Support for the Prime Minister Petteri Orpo‘s NCP in March stood at 20.7 percent, reflecting a 0.6 percentage point decline compared to the paper’s poll last month.
Finland’s biggest opposition party — and second most-popular party overall, according to the polls — the Social Democrats received support from 19.6 percent of respondents in the HS poll, which was the same level seen in the paper’s survey in February.
In third place, the Finns Party received 18.9 percent support, 0.7 percentage points.
Overall, the survey found support for the five parties belonging to the government stood at 47.3 percent, which reflected a decline of a percentage point compared to a similar poll last month.
Meanwhile, support grew by 0.6 percentage points for the Centre (11.7%) and Movement Now (2.3%) parties.
The HS-sponsored survey, carried out by research firm Verian, queried just over 2,400 adults in Finland between 19 February and 15 March. It had a margin of error of two percentage points in either direction.
